No upfront quote — see it before you commit

Small Business Website Design UK Small Business Website Design,
Without the £3,000 Quote.

I'm Tony Cooper. I design and build websites for UK small businesses and spread the cost over £49 a month — hosting, changes and support included, nothing upfront, and you see the finished site before you commit to anything.

What a Small Business Website Has to Do

Not a brochure. A tool that brings you work while you're on a job.

Make the Phone Ring

A small business site has one job. Click-to-call on every screen, an enquiry form that works, and the number where a thumb can reach it.

Work on a Phone First

More than half your visitors arrive on a mobile, often standing in someone's kitchen. The design starts there and scales up, rather than being squeezed down.

Load Before They Leave

Built on Astro, not WordPress. Under a second to load and 100/100 on Google PageSpeed — speed you feel and Google rewards.

Be Findable Locally

Proper headings, schema and a clean structure, so you turn up when somebody nearby searches for what you do.

Look Like You Mean It

Your customers compare you to firms ten times your size. The site is the one place you can meet them on level terms.

Keep Changing

Prices move, services change, a van gets signwritten. Email me and I make the change — usually the same day. 27 years, one developer, direct.

The Businesses That Need It Most Can Least Afford It

Small business website design has one awkward problem underneath it. The firms that most need to look professional online — the new ones, the small ones, the ones competing with companies ten times their size — are exactly the firms least able to hand over £3,000 before a single visitor arrives.

So they go to a DIY builder and lose their evenings, or they buy the cheapest quote and end up with a slow template that quietly works against them. Neither is a decision anybody made on the merits. Both are what happens when the only options are a big bill or a bad site.

Paying monthly takes the decision away. £49 a month buys the design, the hosting, the SSL and someone who keeps improving it — and the keyword domain it ships on is yours. Here's why the web address, not the design, is the part that lasts.

What Small Business Web Design Costs

UK agency quote £3,000 – £10,000
Freelance designer £1,000 – £2,500
DIY builder £15/mo + your evenings
Designed for you, paid monthly £49/mo, nothing upfront
Or own it outright £995 once

What the Small Business Website Design Packages Include

There's one plan and it isn't complicated. Most small businesses land on eight to twelve pages — what you do, who you do it for, where you work, what it costs, and how to reach you. Everything below is in the £49, not bolted on afterwards as a service that costs extra.

  • Design built around your business, not a theme
  • Hosting, SSL and the keyword domain
  • Mobile-first layout with click-to-call
  • Enquiry forms that reach you reliably
  • SEO foundation — structure, headings, schema
  • Ongoing changes whenever you need them
  • No setup fee, no minimum term, thirty days' notice

How It Gets Built

From the first call to a live site inside a week.

1

Tell Me About the Business

A half-hour call. What you do, who buys it, and what you want the site to make happen. I learn the business before I design anything.

2

I Design and Build It

Three to five days from that call to a finished site — designed around your trade, your colours and your customers, built in code rather than assembled from a theme.

3

You See It Before Anyone Else

You get the link before it goes live. Anything you want moved, reworded or recoloured, you say so and I change it. It has to feel like yours.

4

Live, and Then Looked After

We launch, and the £49 keeps the hosting, the SSL, the updates and the changes running. Nothing to renew, nothing to learn, nobody to chase.

Judge It on the Live Sites, Not a Mockup

25 small business sites are running on this exact plan right now. Click any of them and look at the real thing — the speed, the layout, the way it works on a phone.

Who I Build These For

A good deal of my work is trades — handymen, carpenters, cleaners, electricians, tilers, roofers — and there's a ready-made site for most of them in the catalogue. The trades growth page walks through what year one and year two look like if that's you.

But the model isn't trades-only, and the maths is the same wherever you are. Clinics, consultants, salons, gyms, accountants, driving instructors, photographers, small manufacturers — anybody who needs to look established without an established firm's budget. If your business isn't in the catalogue, the site gets designed from scratch for the same £49.

Selling Products Online?

A handful of products alongside a brochure site, I can build that on the £49 plan. A full shop with checkout, payments and stock is a Shopify build, and that's handled properly on my sister brand.
